New Management
In a quick, reliable, responsible and operational way, the generational change is now a reality in NICOPLAST. Thus to the founder and partner Joaquín Pinillos two new acquisitions have been incorporated as partners too: Oscar Azcona and Sergio Pinillos. Both of them are great worth for the company because they have a long experience in Nicoplast and they know the processes and the necessities of the company.
The strategic plan is clear: The best Service at a lowest price. So we are developing a quality and service plan for all the products we manufacture, with new quality controls and more flexibility optimizing all the processes in relation with prize involving all our Staff who is our best active in NICOPLAST.
Our first I+D+I Project.
We have various objectives in different parts of the company. It was created since an environmental concern coupled with the necessity of developing an optimization of the molding process of PEEK and PPS.
We also introduced in this project the net working tool Engel Monitoring System which permit us to register all the molding process that provide us with more productive capacity.

INYECPOL
(año 2007 y 2008 con una prórroga hasta abril de 2009)
The objective is to create a pilot plant in semi-industrial level to create complex pieces in hard alloys and ceramics.
This process is known as MIM (Metal Injection Molding) Power MIM or PIM. There are ocmercial materials in the market but we are able to make a tailor-made material with the Chemistry engineering and cience department of the Carlos III University of Madrid.
The process consist in transform the material in an adapted machine and in a special mold.
After it realized a uncoupled of the non metallic component or ceramic. And last of all, the sintered in a vacuum oven with a concrete gas.

NANOCOOP (año 2008 a 2010)
The objective is to develop a PP reinforced with nanoclays, with better properties tan the matrix. With this product we can work on two directions depending in the client.
1º.- in new developments, design walls and nerves thinner, so there is a saving of process time and material cost so it is better for the environment and the Company results.
2º Replace superior and more techniques plastics.
In this Project we are working together with other three Companies. Cygsa of Cires Group screnings manufacturer, Maier, from Mondragón Group (Molding, painting annd assembly for household appilance and automotive) and Embega, From Mondragón Group Also that manufactures capacitors for drying machines…)
And the technological centre, L´Urederra which have a lot of experience in plásticas and nanoparticles.

Durso
Nowadays, we are preparing a new Project in collaboration with Leyre Engineering, and it´s participated DURSO.
Leyre Engineering design integrated systems developing projects adapted to their customers.
DURSO is born to satisfy a necessity that is the specializing in urbanism under the prism of sustainability to make best quality urban spaces always in respect with the environment.
The cooperation project is developing structures of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS)
to manage the rainwater in the cities, industrial zones, parking, and in all urban zones to influence positively on the natural water cycle.
The environment is going to be the main line of action in this project. The final product is going to have a very positive environmental influence. During the process we will apply allour technologies to save all the resources we can. Much of the raw material will come from recycled plastic and also small parts of different waste products like thermosetting plastics, PET, paper fiber or even sawdust.

Some Companies and institutions of the shire can be proud of being part in the developing and research projects that are at the forefront of some new practices, in this case in the urban sector. Durso and Nicoplast and L´Urederra Foundation work now in the improvement of the structures of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems used by DURSO in different points of Navarra. The idea is to combat the waterproofing caused by the terrain urbanization with boxes of recycled polypropylene that permits to filter rainwater and bring them to areas of natural runoff or to ware them to reuse as Jose María Asiáin exposed.
